Salt of the Earth Sermon and Supper
We meet every Wednesday at 5:30pm for a time of singing, a Bible message or a testimony and a complete fellowship meal. You do not need to be a member of the church to come worship and have a meal of fresh made soup, salad, a dinner of meat, vegetables and a starch. There is always a dessert and hot beverages, Come and eat and relax with friends as we sup together. All are welcomed. We love our neighborhood. Dutchess Outreach Each month we purchase individual water bottles for Dutchess Outreach for their "Meals to Go" program. Dutchess Outreach serves about 300 Meals to Go each day to the food insecure in our community. We collect nonperishable foods(canned and boxed) weekly that gets delivered to Dutchess Outreach’s food pantry. Bread Ministry Each week donated bread from Friehofer's is delivered to Dutchess Outreach's soup kitchen and to Hudson River Housing Homeless Shelters School Supply Drive for A.S. May We collect school supplies and stuff backpacks starting in August for a September delivery to A S May Elementary for families that could use some help with the beginning of the school year costs for school supplies Fall Arlington Street Fair We have a booth and ministry presence at this very busy yearly community street fair on Raymond Avenue directly in front of our church. Holiday Food Bags In October collections begin for those in need of holiday food help. The holiday meal is delivered around Thanksgiving. Annual Arlington Holiday Festival Our yearly participation in the Arlington Holiday Festival in the parade and other events is a way to support our local community. Building Use Our building is used for music lessons and NA and AA groups weekly. There are other groups that use space on our campus: E & B Dance and Hudson Valley Community Dance.
